  • Structural composition: mainly composed of components such as tube box, tube plate, heat exchange tube, shell, and baffle. The pipe box adopts a circular or elliptical head design for fluid distribution and collection. The tube plate is connected to the heat exchange tube and the shell through expansion or welding processes, bearing the pressure difference between the tube side and the shell side. Heat exchange tubes are usually seamless steel pipes or stainless steel pipes, and baffle plates are installed inside the shell to guide the longitudinal flushing of the shell side fluid against the outer wall of the heat exchange tube.
  • Working principle: Hot fluid enters the heat exchange tube from the inlet of the tube box, transfers heat to the cold fluid in the shell side through the tube wall, and is discharged from the outlet of the tube box after cooling; The cold fluid enters from the inlet of the shell, and under the guidance of the baffle, it longitudinally flushes the outer wall of the heat exchange tube, absorbs heat, and is discharged from the outlet of the shell to achieve heat exchange.
  • Performance characteristics: It has the feature of efficient heat transfer, and the single tube design combined with turbulence effect can achieve a heat transfer coefficient of 300-800W/m ² · K, which is 30% -50% more efficient than traditional equipment. Its structure is compact, and the optimized design of the tube box and tube plate reduces the equipment volume by 20% -30%. At the same time, the tube side and shell side can independently withstand pressures of 0.1-10MPa, handle various fluids, and are maintenance friendly. The detachable tube box design allows for the replacement of a single heat exchange tube.
  • Application areas: Widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, electricity, pharmaceuticals, etc. Such as being used for tower top oil and gas condensation in atmospheric and vacuum distillation units in the petrochemical industry, and for cooling antibiotic fermentation broth in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Common type: U-shaped tube heat exchanger is a typical single tube plate heat exchanger, in which the two ends of the heat exchange tubes are fixed on the same tube plate, arranged in a U-shape, and can be freely expanded and contracted to avoid thermal stress. It is suitable for situations where the temperature difference between the tube and shell is large or the shell side is prone to scaling and needs to be cleaned.
